Hello there! I’m a hip wife and grammy who loves to cook and bake while eating healthy and have it all taste good. Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Sometimes it’s a challenge, but the outcome is worth it.
My granddaughter joins me in the kitchen sometimes and we “make food”. This experience is a kick in the pants. Never a dull moment.
I started cooking and baking when I was in middle school. My 8th grade home economics teacher was fantastic! White sauce (roux), omelets, quick breads, etc. Then I’d come home and make whatever I learned for my family. My mom started buying me Pillsbury Bake-off books. I’d go through them cover to cover and make a list of what I wanted to make. She bought the ingredients and I had a blast while my whole family enjoyed the results!
Over the years my cooking shifted depending on my circumstances: young wife & mother, single-parent, empty-nester, re-married, and now a grandma.
Whatever circumstance you find yourself in, I encourage you to browse this blog.
You’ll find something that fits “just right”.
Eat good and feel good!
